Rep. Bill Manning highlighted an awardee from the biennial Ohio House High School Student Art Exhibition, the Ohio House of Representatives reported. The exhibition, held every two years by the Ohio House, showcases artwork created by high school students across the state.
In a release, the Ohio House noted Manning’s recognition of the student awardee as part of the legislature’s ongoing display of young artists. The biennial exhibition provides a platform for student creativity to be seen at the statehouse level.
For the students selected, the acknowledgement is both an honor and a visible nod to arts education in Ohio — the kind of recognition that can brighten a résumé or, at the very least, earn a prized spot on a family refrigerator.
