The Rowe Creek Complex is reported at 73% containment as crews focus on holding the line and preventing the fire from crossing Highway 26, according to Central Oregon Daily.
Firefighters continue suppression efforts around the complex with the explicit aim of keeping the blaze from ‘‘jumping’’ the highway, a development that would threaten a key corridor in the region.
Authorities say containment has improved to the current level, but crews remain on scene to secure the perimeter and limit further spread toward the roadway.
